The application window closed on June 16
FRISCO, Texas (April 14, 2021) — The US Youth Soccer National League is now accepting team applications to fill open slots for the upcoming National League P.R.O. season, which will feature competition for boys and girls teams in the 14U-19U age groups.
The application is for teams that are interested in participating in National League P.R.O. and have not earned automatic qualification through their standing in their National League Conference.
Additionally, for any Conference that has been unable to hold competition during the 2020-21 season due to COVID-19 restrictions, the Conference’s automatic qualifying slots are marked as open — to be filled by teams from within that Conference through the application process rather than Conference standings.
The application deadline is Wednesday, June 16, 2021. All teams who wish to apply for open slots in the upcoming National League P.R.O. season must submit their application form by that date.
The National League management group will review open slot applicants and accept teams based on several factors, including but not limited to: past Conference performance, competitive history and geographic balance.
Teams selected to fill open slots will join the automatic qualifiers to complete the field of teams for the 2021-22 season of National League P.R.O. Automatic qualifiers do not need to complete an application. Any team that completes a National League P.R.O. application and later earns automatic qualification through its National League Conference will be accepted as an automatic qualifier and will not occupy an open slot.
Open slot team selections will be announced in mid-July 2021.
