The Spring season is wrapping up, and Premier I teams in the USYS National League Conferences, Managed by EDP Soccer are earning their place in both the 2022 USYS Eastern Regional Championships and the 2022-23 season of USYS National League P.R.O.
The top USYS leagues in the East Region, over 80 teams from the four conferences recently won their respective USYS State Cup, one of the two pathways teams have to reach the Regional Championships. In addition to the over 80 State Cup winners, the Conferences will also have around 70 teams who have earned their place through their performance in Conference play.
The Region will also have 39 teams from the Conferences who have earned their place to USYS National Championships from their performance in National League P.R.O., with seven states having teams already clinching: New Jersey (13), Eastern Pennsylvania (11), Eastern New York (7), Maryland (5), Connecticut (1), Massachusetts (1) and Virginia (1).

North Atlantic Conference
In the 17U Boys Academy Division, Quickstrike FC 2005 finished on top of the table with 23 points, with second place through fifth place all separated by one point each.
In the 15U Girls Academy Division, New York Surf 07 defeated Alleycats in one of their final matches to finish 8-0-0, with Alleycats three points behind at 7-1-0. NJ Premier FC finished in third place with a 6-2-0 record.
The 14U Premier I Girls title once again came down to FC Somers Lady Hammers and Auburndale SC Strikers. FC Somers came out on top in the late-season showdown between the two sides, and claimed both the Eastern New York State Championship and League title over Auburndale. Atletico FC, Long Island SC, Real Olé, and Rockville Centre all finished with 17 or more points.
The 18U Boys Premier I Division saw two Westchester County rivals come down to the wire, with Westchester Flames on 23 points, and FC Somers on 22 points with one game remaining against a very strong Two Bridges FC side. FC Somers will head to Nationals after winning its group in National League P.R.O., while Westchester Flames will look to reach Nationals going through the Eastern Regionals.

South Atlantic Conference
The 15U Boys Premier I Division came down to the final game, with Bethesda SC entering on 28 points and SAC entering on 30 points. With Bethesda needing a win, it defeated a very strong SAC team 2-1 to win the Division. Bethesda claims the Division’s spot at Regionals, while SAC will still head to Nationals through its performance in National League P.R.O. In the 12-team division, nine teams finished with double-digit points, and the 12th-place team had a goal differential of just -1.09 per game.
In the 15U Girls Premier I Division, the top six spots were decided by five points. Coppermine SC finished with 22 points, ahead of Keystone FC with 21 points, A3 with 20 points, OPSA and FCGB with 19 points, and Lancaster Elite with 17 points. In a strong division top to bottom, Coppermine SC needed a draw with 10th-place Old Line FC to clinch the division in its last game of the season.

New England Conference
In the 14U Boys Academy Division, Rhode Island Surf B2008 Elite finished three points ahead of Seacoast United Mass South 2008 Elite Boys to claim the top spot with a 6-1-1 record. The deciding match between the two ended up being the teams’ first match up of the season, when Rhode Island Surf came out with a big 4-0 victory to open the season.
In the 16U Girls Premier I Division, Yankee United FC Attack continued to be one of the top teams in the Region, as it finished the season 7-0-1, allowing just two goals and finishing three points ahead of CT Rush Select. Yankee United claimed a spot in National League P.R.O. for the second straight year, and it also came away as Connecticut State Champions.

Mid Atlantic Conference
In the 16U Boys Academy Division, it was a two-team race between New Jersey State Cup Champion NJ Premier 06 and Eastern Pennsylvania State Cup Champion PA Dominion 06. NJ Premier edged out PA Dominion by one point, and the exciting match between the two teams ended 5-3. With both sides winning their respective State Cup, Philadelphia Ukrainian Nationals claimed the Division's slot in Eastern Regionals.
In the 18U Boys Premier I Division, Penn Alliance finished in first place in one of the top Divisions in the nation. Penn Alliance finished ahead of PA Dominion 04, Cedar Stars Newark 04, PDA Hibernian Modric and Lower Merion Invictus – all earned a spot to Nationals through National League P.R.O., and Dutchmen FC won the NJ State Cup.
In the 14U Girls Premier I Red Division, New Jersey State Champions Wall Elite Chelsea finished in first place with four wins and four draws. The next four teams all finished within four points of Wall, with PSA North, Torpedoes SC, Real Jersey FC and Cinnaminson SC all pushing for the top spot until the last weekend of the season.
