How is the league Managed?
As part of the USYS National League, the Elite 64 Regional League is exclusively managed by the USYS National League staff.
WHO COMPETES?
The Elite 64 Regional League includes play for boys teams and girls teams in the 13U, 14U, 15U, 16U, 17U and 19U age groups. Available divisions may vary in different areas of the country.
WHAT IS THE LEAGUE FORMAT?
Brackets of up to 10 teams each will see teams play a single round-robin or double round-robin schedules per seasonal year, based on club feedback.
WHEN ARE THE GAMES?
The 15U-19U age groups play a schedule that allows for players to participate in their high school soccer season, while the 13U and 14U age groups are able to schedule over a 10-month period.

ELITE 64 REGIONAL LEAGUE
Success in league play may allow teams to qualify to play in the National League Quarterfinals during the next seasonal year.
National League Quarterfinals
Ten groups of four. Top 3 teams per group advance to the semifinals. A team’s finish at the quarterfinals determines seeding at semifinals.
National League Semifinals
The best teams from the quarterfinal round come together to compete for spots in the USYS National Championships.
National League’s Path to the National Championships
ELITE 64 REGIONAL LEAGUE DIVISIONS
High-finishing teams may automatically qualify for the following season’s National League Quarterfinals. Teams may also apply for a wildcard slot through an application process.
NATIONAL LEAGUE QUARTERFINALS
The 40 best teams in each age group are placed into 10 groups of four at the December Quarterfinals. After three days of group play, the top three teams in each group will advance to the National League Semifinals. The higher a team finishes in its quarterfinal group, the higher the pool placement for the semifinals.
National League SEMIFINALS
Featuring teams from both the team-based and club-based divisions of the National League, all of whom compete in knockout style competition in one of three semifinal pools to determine qualifiers to the USYS National Championships, presented by New York Life.
Club Hosting Standards
- Benches, team tents and water provided for visiting clubs
- Athletic trainers must be present at all hosted matches
- All clubs must have game filming capacity
- High quality playing surface with access to backup turf fields, if needed
- Potential hotel and food options provided for incoming teams
- Highest quality match officials available to be assigned
- College coach invites should be sent out to local schools
- All matches scheduled in 2-hour block to allow adequate warm-up time

Applications are reviewed in the spring and acceptances typically take place in April and May, prior to the next seasonal year. Please note that club acceptances are subject to availability in each area of the country.
