FRISCO, Texas (June 28, 2021) — Teams from the US Youth Soccer National League produced standout results at the 2021 USYS Far West Regional Championships in Boise, Idaho, as they captured seven of 14 Regional titles.
The Desert Conference was the lone National League Conference to be represented in Boise, as both the Pacific Conference and Northwest Conference were unable to hold competition in the 2020-21 season due to Covid-19. Despite that fact, the National League made a significant impact at the Far West Regionals through the performance of the Desert Conference teams.
In all, 16 of the 56 semifinalists were teams that competed in the Desert Conference during the 2020-21 season. Eleven of those teams advanced to the finals and seven captured Far West Regional Championships.

About the National Championships
The USYS National Championships cap a yearlong series of competitions that comprise the USYS National Championship Series. Boys and girls teams in multiple age groups earn their way by competing against the top teams in their state and region. US Youth Soccer State Champions and selected wildcard teams are eligible to compete in one of four US Youth Soccer Regional Championships. The Regional Champions in the 13U through 19U age groups, along with the National League representatives in the 14U-19U age groups, converge at the National Championships to compete for the most prestigious National title in youth soccer.
