144 National League P.R.O. teams will join Regional Champions this summer in Orlando, Fla.
FRISCO, Texas (June 6, 2022) — Following an energetic US Youth Soccer National League P.R.O. season that featured exciting national events and meaningful 7th games over the course of the fall, winter and spring, 144 teams across the 14U, 15U, 16U, 17U, 18U and 19U Boys and Girls age groups have qualified to compete in the 2022 US Youth Soccer National Championships.
By way of their success in National League P.R.O., the top finishers in each group have earned a direct path to the USYS National Championships. Annually, the final leg of the nation’s most elite and prestigious youth cup competition provides teams with a chance to add themselves to the storied history of USYS and capture the National Championship title in their respective age group.
During the 2021-22 season of National League P.R.O., the Midwest Conference had the most teams (38) of any conference advance to the National Championships through league play. The Great Lakes Conference had the second-most qualifiers (23), while the Mid Atlantic Conference had 20 teams punch their tickets to Nationals. In total, 12 of the 13 National League Conferences are represented among the teams that qualified for the National Championships through National League P.R.O.
Illinois led all US Youth Soccer State Associations with 18 teams that qualified for the 2022 USYS National Championships through National League P.R.O., while the number of qualifiers from five other State Associations — Ohio (15), New Jersey (13), Florida (12), Eastern Pennsylvania (11) and Michigan (10) — reached double digits. In all, 26 different State Associations had at least one team qualify for the National Championships through National League P.R.O.

About National League P.R.O.
National League P.R.O. (Player. Recruitment. Opportunity.) serves as the competitive national league format in which teams compete for direct advancement to the annual US Youth Soccer National Championships. Teams earn their place into National League P.R.O. each season through their performance in one of the 13 National League Conferences, which provide high-level competition at a targeted local level, as well as a pathway for advancement into the regional and national stages of the USYS National Championship Series.

About the USYS National Championships
The US Youth Soccer National Championships cap a yearlong series of competitions that comprise the US Youth Soccer National Championship Series (NCS). Boys and girls teams in multiple age groups earn their way to Nationals by competing against the top teams in their state and region. US Youth Soccer State Champions and selected wildcard teams are eligible to compete in one of four US Youth Soccer Regional Championships. The Regional Champions in the 13U through 19U age groups, along with the National League P.R.O. representatives in the 14U-19U age groups, converge at the National Championships to compete for the most prestigious National title in youth soccer.
