The National League has multiple ties to the US Youth Soccer National Championship Series (NCS), which provides a pathway for teams that ultimately leads to the USYS National Championships — the oldest and most prestigious youth soccer championship in the country.
The USYS National Championship Series features three levels of competitions — the State Cups, the four Regional Championships and the National Championships. National League teams have opportunities to earn direct advancement to the Regional Championships and National Championships.

The top tier divisions in each National League Conference each provide teams with a pathway directly into their respective USYS Regional Championship.
- The New England Conference, North Atlantic Conference, Mid Atlantic Conference and South Atlantic Conference each provide a pathway into the USYS Eastern Regional Championships.
- The Great Lakes Conference and Midwest Conference each provide a pathway into the USYS Midwest Regional Championships.
- The Frontier Conference, Mid South Conference, Piedmont Conference and Sunshine Conference provide a pathway into the USYS Southern Regional Championships.
- The Desert Conference, Northwest Conference and Pacific Conference each provide a pathway into the USYS Far West Regional Championships.
National League P.R.O. >>> Nationals
Teams that compete in National League P.R.O. have the opportunity to earn direct advancement to the USYS National Championships, which serves as a culmination to every youth soccer seasonal year. For both boys and girls, each age group in National League P.R.O. (14U through 19U) provides 12 spots into the National Championships. Teams can qualify for the National Championships by finishing in the Top 2 of their National League P.R.O. division.
