FRISCO, Texas (July 3, 2024) — The US Youth Soccer National League was well-represented on the champions stage across the four USYS Regional Championships, as 38 teams that played in the National League claimed Regional titles.
In addition to the Regional Champions, 43 of the runners-up competed in the National League during the 2023-24 season — meaning 81 of the 108 total teams that played in the championship games at Regionals also competed in the National League during their regular season.
The Regional Champions came from a variety of National League divisions. Teams that played in the Premier 1 Division of their National League Conference claimed 24 total Regional titles, while Elite 64 teams won nine titles. Elite 64 Regional League teams won three titles, and teams that played in the Premier 2 Division of their Conference won two titles.
Bulls 06G NLSC (SC) advanced to the 18U Girls final at the Southern Regional Championships, making it the lone team that played in a National League Qualifier division to compete in a Regional final.
Success during the league season proved to be a good predictor of the quality required to win the Regional Championships. Of the 38 National League teams that won their Regional Championship, 19 finished in first place during their league season, six finished in second place, five were third-place finishers, one finished in fourth place, four finished in fifth place, and three finished in sixth place.
The representatives moving on from the Regional Championships will join teams that qualified earlier this season via National League P.R.O. at the 2024 USYS National Championships, presented by New York Life. Games at Nationals kick off July 23 in Orlando, Fla.
