FRISCO, Texas (May 17, 2023) — The USYS National League is excited to introduce the Northern Frontier Conference Qualifier, which will provide targeted multi-state competition with promotion opportunities into the USYS Frontier Conference.

The Northern Frontier Conference Qualifier — which will include teams from Arkansas and Oklahoma — will kick off in the 2023-24 season and feature competition for boys and girls teams in the 13U-18/19U age groups, with top performers having direct qualification into the Frontier Conference. As one of the 13 conferences within the USYS National League, the Frontier Conference provides teams with advancement opportunities into the USYS National Championship Series, as well as the National League Conference Playoffs.

Teams interested in participating in the Northern Frontier Conference Qualifier can apply here.

“We are excited to launch the Northern Frontier Conference Qualifier and provide a regional league experience to more teams in Arkansas and Oklahoma,” said Matt Dellaria, League Manager for the Frontier Conference. “This league will be a proving ground for teams as they compete to earn their place in the Frontier Conference. With the schedule being predominately event-based, the league will offer the security and ease of schedule of a club-based league while maintaining the flexibility offered by a team-based league.”

Clubs that will have teams participating in the inaugural season of the Northern Frontier Conference Qualifier for the include: Sporting Arkansas, Little Rock Rangers, Arkansas Comets, Arkansas Rising, Sporting Oklahoma, Tulsa Blitz, Midwest City Soccer Club, Oklahoma Energy, and Tulsa Soccer Club. Any team interested in playing in the North Frontier Conference Qualifier can fill out an application for the 2023-24 season.

The Northern Frontier Conference Qualifier will be one of two leagues for each gender with direct qualification into the top divisions of the Frontier Conference, joining the recently announced North Texas Conference Qualifiers. The growing number of Conference Qualifier leagues help to solidify the National League pathway, which can begin at the state level and proceed to the highest national levels.

Beyond regular season play in the National League Conferences, teams can advance to the Conference Playoffs and ultimately National League P.R.O. — where they have the opportunity to compete for places in the annual USYS National Championships.
